Who we truly are
ENSUBEB is an education organ of the Enugu State Government, established to provide free, compulsory, and universal basic education for every child of Primary and Junior Secondary School age in the state. It manages public primary and junior secondary schools, oversees teaching and non-teaching staff deployment, and ensures the disbursement of funds from both Federal and State sources for education.
The key functions of ENSUBEB include managing public primary and junior secondary schools, posting and deploying teaching and non-teaching staff, handling the retirement and re-absorption of teachers, and overseeing the assessment and funding of staff salaries and allowances. The board also plays a vital role in shaping the foundational stages of education in the state.
